Phoenix Logistics, Inc. manufactures MIL-STD-1553 Data Bus harnesses for the C-17 Globemaster. Originally, the C-17 utilized proprietary coaxial contacts manufactured by Radiall Jerrik. After the initial procurement lots, the prices of the Radiall Jerrik contacts increased by 40%. Phoenix Logistics, Inc. was able to design and develop equivalent contacts resulting in a 29% decrease in the program harness cost.
