The design and manufacture of high power microwave components requires a thorough knowledge of the properties of dielectric materials. Phoenix Logistics completely re-engineered the customer's prototype for this phased array naval radar antenna and brought it to production. Our redesign reduced VSWR and Insertion Loss and eliminated additional cooling while maintaining system performance. The completed antenna had a 100 watt input at 18 GHz and featured an 1:16 divider utilizing resistively loaded Wilkensen dividers. PLI provided full qualification testing in accordance with Mil-Std 810 and produced over 200 of these units in less than 6 months. more |
